The success of e-learning projects depends on the design and implementation of effective strategies that aim at preparing new generation’s capability to deal with diverse sources of knowledge. This initiates the transition of the country toward an e-culture in order to ultimately engender new generations ability to cope with and adapt to the demands of the new global knowledge economy. The workshop highlights the main issues related to the design of effective e-learning strategies. It also discusses the success factor of e-learning implementation, at the schools, educational districts and at the national levels, such as change management, social and political aspects and cultural factors. The challenges and obstacles of e-learning implementation are also highlighted.
