License
- ICDL- is a certificate, which demonstrates a persons
competence in computing knowledge and skills in accordance with international
standards.
It consists of seven modules, each must be passed before the ECDL/ICDL
certificate is awarded. The modules are:
- Basic Concepts of information technology
- Using the computer and managing files
- Word-processing
- Spreadsheets
- Database
- Presentation
- Information and Communication
With the coordination and full support of UCO
and CDI in UCLA,
ReDSOFT executed a project to arabize ICDL, with the following outcome:
- An Arabic ICDL syllabus, version 3.0
- An ICDL Arabic Manual Question Test Base
- ICDL paper-based training material in Arabic
- An interactive, self-paced ICDL computer-based courseware in Arabic
and English
- An ICDL Arabic automated testing engine
- An English ICDL syllabus, version 4.0, to be published on CD's and
the internet.
- An Arabized ICDL syllabus, version 4.0
