| The new tremendous knowledge resources available now-a-days depend on certain computer skills, which forces the introduction of such skills to the child, accommodating him/her to the new digital world. Children (3 ½ - 5½ years old) are most receptive for the technology that plays a good role in encouraging ones creativity. As a consequence, ReDSOFT adopted the Kuwait's Kindergarten project to produce educational software representing the kindergarten children's experiences. Objectives Kuwait's Kindergarten project is not a technology driven project. It aims to use technology to support pedagogic aims and principles and is designed to facilitate, encourage and support pupils' learning through engagement and interaction.
About Kindergarten in Kuwait KG in Kuwait is a transitional phase that prepares children to enter the general education in Kuwait's educational system, and it consists on two levels:
A class room is divided into several sections called "corners". The student performs certain activities within the corner to understand the experience and express it in one form or another. an "experience" is one of different aspects of regular activities that the child acquires inside or outside his kindergarten class room. The Product Consists of a pack per KG level. A pack comprises of 12 CD's, a CD for every experience. The CD is a multimedia resource such as: video clips, pictures, animation and music covering all aspects of an experience. Both KG1 and KG2 packs are currently distributed and used in KG schools in Kuwait in accordance with the MOE, as part of the teaching process. | |||||
